1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of DateDash.ie ("we," "us," or "our"), including our website, mobile app, in-person events, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please discontinue use immediately.
We may update these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted here with a revised effective date. Continued use after updates constitutes acceptance.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By registering, you represent that you are 18 or older and capable of entering into a binding agreement.
We reserve the right to refuse or terminate service to anyone for any reason, including but not limited to violations of these Terms or applicable laws.
3. Service Description
DateDash.ie offers in-person speed dating events in Cork, Ireland, and online features to facilitate connections:
- Event Registration: Users can register for events via the platform.
- Matching: Post-event, admins assign matches based on participant feedback.
- Chats: Matches can engage in private, encrypted chats that expire after 24 hours.
- Dashboard: Access to view matches, event history, and profile management.
Display names and photos are admin-controlled for safety and cannot be edited by users.
4. Account Registration and Security
To use the Service, you must create an account with a valid email and password. Email verification is required, and 2FA is mandatory for event registration.
You are responsible for maintaining account security. Notify us immediately at [email protected] of any unauthorized access. After three failed logins, your account will be locked, requiring a password reset.
We may suspend or terminate accounts for suspicious activity or violations.
5. User Conduct
You agree not to:
- Harass, discriminate, or engage in harmful behavior during events or chats.
- Share personal contact information without consent.
- Use the Service for commercial, illegal, or fraudulent purposes.
- Post offensive, explicit, or inappropriate content.
- Attempt to circumvent security measures or disrupt the Service.
Chats are monitored for compliance. Violations may result in warnings, suspensions, or bans.
6. Event Participation
Events are limited by gender and require payment. Registration is first-come, first-served, with waitlists available.
Cancellations: Full refunds for cancellations 48 hours prior; no refunds for no-shows or late cancellations.
Attendance: Arrive on time; follow venue rules. We are not liable for travel, accommodations, or personal incidents.
Post-Event: Matches are notified via dashboard; chats expire after 24 hours for privacy.
7. Payments and Refunds
Event fees (e.g., €35) are processed via secure partners like Stripe. All payments are in Euro.
Refunds: Issued for valid cancellations; processing fees may apply. No refunds for completed events or violations.
We reserve the right to cancel events due to low attendance or unforeseen circumstances, with full refunds provided.
8. Privacy and Data
Your data is handled per our Privacy Policy. We collect minimal information for service delivery and security.
Chats are encrypted and auto-deleted. We do not sell data and limit sharing to essential service providers.
9. Intellectual Property
All content (logos, designs, text) is owned by DateDash.ie. Unauthorized use is prohibited.
10. Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided "as is." We are not liable for user interactions, technical issues, or indirect damages.
Our total liability is limited to the amount paid for your most recent event.
11. Termination
You may delete your account by contacting [email protected]. We may terminate for violations, with no refunds.
12. Force Majeure
We are not liable for failures due to events beyond our control (e.g., pandemics, natural disasters).
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by Irish law. Disputes will be resolved in Irish courts.
